CME.md
is committed to providing high-quality, informative websites
that serve a target audience of medical professionals. We recognize
the need to protect the information gathered from our visitors,
and to prevent unauthorized access and improper use of this
data. Consequently, we store the information compiled from our
sites on secure servers. CME.md does not share
any user or registration data supplied by its viewers with any
third party. CME.md may from time to time use data to
conduct surveys to better serve our audience and to notify viewers
about available MDlive.net material which may be of interest.
We use traffic analysis software on the CME.md servers
to track our visitors and usage patterns. We do not ever combine
this information with personal information from any individual
or group. We do use this data to break down overall usage statistics
according to IP address, domain name, browser type and MIME
type. We do this by reading this information from the data automatically
supplied by your browser whenever a web page is requested.
Not only does this data enable us to better provide content
and to respond to our users' needs, it also helps us provide
our grant sponsors basic demographic information about our audience,
while maintaining the complete privacy of all of our individual
or group visitors. CME.md's use of cookie technology
eases our visitors' use of this site; it allows our site to
load more quickly, and makes it more user-friendly. A cookie
is a small text file that resides only on your own computer
and may be accessed only by the server that originally created
it. A cookie cannot store or send back any information to CME.md
that you have not specifically volunteered while visiting our
site. Only the above-mentioned information, which is contained
in every user's browser, is collected during any specific visit.
We do not share any of the basic browser data we collect with
any third party, except as needed in a presentation format,
when we demonstrate our website demographics and usage patterns.
All credit card transactions are conducted over a secure socket
layer connection. Credit card information is not stored on the
server unless requested by the user. Only authorized personnel
with specific identification and passwords can access credit
card information solely for the purpose of performing adjustments
or refunds at the customer’s request. |
